In addition to being in tlrc view, you must have a copy of the functional dataset BRIK in tlrc format on the disk (normally AFNI creates tlrc datasets on the fly to save disk space, but the renderer cannot do this.)
To create a +tlrc BRIK from the command line, use the "adwarp" command.
To create a +tlrc BRIK from the GUI, go into tlrc view, click "Define Datamode", then click "Write Func" or "Write Many".
