The renderer requires that the overlay dataset must be stored
as a BRIK (as Mike said), and that it be defined on the same
grid as the underlay dataset. You can check the latter using
program 3dinfo on the two datasets, or by using the
Datamode->Misc->Anat Info and ->Func Info menu
items (when the underlay and overlay datasets are the current Anat
and Func datasets in the controller, of course).
If there is a problem with the grids not being aligned to the same
place, you might have to re-Write the overlay dataset. It is also
possible to manually adjust the xyz-location of a dataset using
program 3drefit, but I would consider that a nearly-last resort,
since you might be moving it to the wrong place.
If all else fails, Paul, send me e-mail about where I can FTP your
datasets from, and I'll look at it. Are you going to use the Show Thru
facility, or just regular color overlays in the solid volume?
