Getting AFNI running under Jaguar (OS 10.2.1)

I'd like very much to get AFNI running on my Mac Jaguar system --- and Jaguar has distorted UNIX sufficiently that I want to avoid compiling it myself.

The How To for AFNI Darwin says that pre-compiled binaries are available as macosx_10.1 as a tar+gzip archive. I've downloaded these, but can't identify any executable in that kit.

I'll need a bit of hand-holding, please.
