AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi,

I'm trying to deconvolve the time series from the seed region with estimate HRF (through TENT option in 3dDeconvolve) instead of the canonical gamma HRF. Here is the command:
3dTfitter -RHS seed_TS.1D -FALTUNG model_TENT_HRF.1D seed_TS_neur.1D 012 0

Example model_TENT_HRF.1D:
-0.0026 0.0689 0.3537 0.5497 0.4250 0.2666 0.0924 -0.0259 -0.0531 -0.0964 -0.0277 -0.0184 0.0025

It ran successfully, however, when I regenerated the seed time series by convolving the seed_TS_neur.1D with model_TENT_HRF.1D, the regenerated time series didn't seem to match with the original time series. If I use the GAM HRF in 3dTfitter, the regenerated time series match the original one very well.

Should I set parameters differently in 3dTfitter when I use a different HRF model in order to get a better fit?

Thank you so much!
