AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

We are testing out allowing users to "follow" message
board topics by getting email messages of all replies
to the specified threads.

When replying to a thread, users may now select to
"Follow Topic", and additionally to "Email me about
replies to this topic". Users may also make the same
request of existing threads (i.e. without posting a
reply) by selecting "Follow Topic" for the thread
(between "Mark Read" and "RSS").


Also, users may get email for "Private Messages"
that are sent to them, or turn that function off.

Regarding "Follow Topic", see also:

Control Center -> Show Followed Topics

Note that "Follow Topic" simply means to keep the
topic under the Control Center list. Getting email
may be more desirable.
