Hi, List experts,

I was wondering whether there is a good criteria on selecting the response model as list below? I read the manual but still could not understand it well. Can the researchers arbitrary select one? Or how to do the simulation to decide the model selection? Or just base on prior experience? Will the results be different because of the model selection? I am naive on this, - Examples would be much more helpful..
