AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear Afni experts,

I have read some of afni documention on the group analysis, but it was bit difficult to know which one of the analysis track (e.g., 3dLME, 3dMEMA, or 3dMVM) would be appropriate for my case:

I have a mixed design: 1 between-ss factor (2 independent-ss groups), 1 within-ss factor (time series from TENT basis function), and 1 quantitative co-variate factor (behavioral performance). The main interest that I want to find is regional activation that shows group x covariate factor interaction (so, something similar to multiple linear regression). I can probably pick a 1 time beta-coef at peak to simply the model, so that I do not have to deal with the time series data with multiple (beta's). But it feels like an ad-hoc approach to pick a time point rather than leaving the time series as a free-variable..
Also, I have unbalanced between-ss group, which may prevent to use 3dANOVA4, I presume..?

It would be of great help to how to go about this problem..

Thank you in advance!
