Hi Ajay,
Note that MapIcosahedron is automatically run by
@SUMA_Make_Spec_FS, so you do not generally have
to actually run it yourself.
If you run the MNI template through FreeSurfer
(or see
http://afni.nimh.nih.gov/pub/dist/tgz/suma_MNI_N27.tgz),
your original space subjects standard meshes
should correspond with that the the MNI template.
That is done via the surface-based registration
FreeSurfer does on the sphere.
Any group results done on the (standard) surface
could be displayed on the MNI template surface.
Do not plan to warp the actual surfaces via any
volumetric non-linear transformation.
