AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

In AFNI, we are interesting in carrying out the following ANOVAs. The main will be a 2 x 5 (2 = between subject factor of diagnosis: patient vs. control; 5 = within subject factor of face emotion: happy, sad, angry, fear, disgust). Further followup ANOVAs will look at two subgroups of the patients compared to each other, and compared to controls. Finally, we'd look at one more within subject factor for a 2(between) x 5(within) x 5(within) ANOVA. In the past we have used GroupANA for these ANOVAs. However, we are aware that our patient population have significant frontal and temporal lobe atrophy, and others in the field have recently attempted to control for volume effects due to atrophy on the fMRI signal by using voxel-based morphometry as a covariate in the fMRI analysis in SPM.

Many thanks for your help.
