I have a question about analyzing data from an event-related sparse sampling protocol. The TR is 7 s but the first 3 s are volume acquisition and the remaining 4 s are speaking. So, if I have 50 TRs and the hemodynamic response is about 6 seconds, then the response from the first stimulus (first TR) is captured in the volume of the second TR, that is the following TR and so on. I am wondering how to handle the last TR in a run, e.g., TR 50, that may have a stimulus but is not followed by a volume acquisition. Is that a problem? In fact, we acquire a couple more volumes after the very last experimental TR that just say "rest". Should I include a TR 51 just to capture the response from TR 50?
