Tried installing openmp binaries - same error message -

./afni: error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

libpng is - of course - installed, but its 1.5. Yum does not want to install 1.2 - not available. I could find it and force it, but I believe the correct procedure would be to compile with the extant (more up to date) libraries.

With respect to which libraries I need - this is easy!

1. make totality.
2. read error - find missing library
3. install library
4. make totality
...

You were right sir - I was missing libXpm-devel. Thank you.

WIll compile using openmp makefile, unless you have a quick and easy solution to the issue above with the premade files.
