AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Robin,

If you run 3dinfo on the 2 stats results, you should see the
extra degree of freedom used in the 3dREMLfit results. It is
applying the exact same regression matrix, with the addition
of ANATICOR. So yes, you have results with and without the
ANATICOR term.

However the regressions are a little different. 3dREMLfit
applies an ARMA(1,1) model to the noise, while 3dDeconvolve
uses ordinary least squares. So there are 2 differences
between those results.

Perhaps in the future the default will be to not even run
the 3dDeconvolve regression in such a case (though it would
still generate the X-matrix). It would be the equivalent to
adding -regress_3dD_stop.
