AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

History of AFNI updates

Hola-

A new version of TORTOISE (2.5.2) has just been released, with Okan having kindly updated the abovementioned features for greater AFNI compatability. It can be downloaded (freely, per usual, though requiring login) from:
[tortoisedti.nichd.nih.gov]

The DIFF_CALC output should now produce a BMTXT_AFNI.txt, which contains an AFNI-formatted text file of the b-matrix information.

Additionally, if using DIFF_CALC to estimate tensors and DTI parameters, the 'flips' of the tensor/vector parameters should now be consistent with other DIFF_CALC outputs and with AFNI for directly using 3dTrackID. You can implement a simple whole brain tracking to be able to visualize the outputs and verify (always encouraged).

Many thanks go to Okan Irfanoglu for implementing these changes.
