AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

We're currently having an issue where beta coefficients in the visual display overlay in AFNI show values that are outside the listed range of values. For example, the stated range in the AFNI display is -1.28 to 2.07, while the listed value for selected voxel is shown as 23.68 (see attached images), well outside the range of possible values listed. We only see this after using adwarp to normalize images. The data in original space to not have this problem. Below is an excerpt of the code we are using:

adwarp -resam Li -apar ${Sub}Anat_al+tlrc -dpar Decon_MISTA+orig'[11]' -prefix RespADur

Attached to this post are two screenshots, one called Original and one called Normalized, with boxes to highlight the overlay values.

Has anyone run into this issue before? We're unsure why this is happening.
