AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi, Brady-

It is hard to view a dset and understand it when no colorbar info is provided.

Looking at Figs. 8, 12 and 13, your data looks pretty normal:

... and I see Rick has replied already with more comments about this-- indeed, are you looking at the stat or the beta? We generally recommend *looking* at the beta (=coefficient) and thresholding with the stat when you want to.

In your data, regions outside the brain may have large betas, but they probably also have laaaaarge confidence intervals and smaller stat values. For more on the benefits of *that*, please check out Gang's compelling commentary here:
