AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Data Analyst Position at the Nathan Kline Institute

The Computational Neuroimaging Laboratories at the Nathan Kline Institute is looking for a Neuroimaging Data Analyst, under the direction of Alexandre R. Franco, PhD. A primary responsibility of this position will be the processing of large scale neuroimaging datasets for C-BIN investigators and collaborators for the Center for the Biomedical Imaging and Neuromodulation (C-BIN), including Dr. Michael Milham (Director of C-BIN) and Dr. Stan Colcombe (Director of the Design, Acquisition and Neuromodulation Laboratories). The Data Analyst will use state-of-the-art image processing pipelines (e.g., functional MRI, structural MRI, diffusion imaging, and arterial spin labeling) and support investigators in the analysis of datasets using a combination of univariate and multivariate analytic approaches (e.g., machine learning theory). Successful candidates must have sufficient technical skills (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, bash scripts) to independently modify processing pipelines and apply novel data analysis strategies. The analysis will also be expected to maintain the neuroinformatics infrastructure of C-BIN and data sharing initiatives (e.g. cloud computing and SQL), including the Rockland Sample dataset. As experience grows, the analyst will be expected to provide supervision for junior researchers in their analytic efforts.
