AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear AFNI users-

This weekend, we plan to migrate the AFNI Message Board to a new framework. This will greatly update its interface, modernizing and expanding the interaction. We believe this will facilitate better neuroimaging discussions and understanding.

Part of this process will be to move to a new web address, which we will forward along when it is ready to be used. Existing user accounts will be migrated, and returning users can login by requesting a password reset; so, existing users should make sure their current Message Board accounts use their currently preferred emails. New users will be able to create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process.

All of the current Message Board discussion threads will migrate to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible for a month or so, though it will be in read-only mode during that interval. Note that the "private messages" will *not* migrate to the new framework, so please extract any information you would like to keep *soon*.

This migration will (likely) take place over the weekend of May 27, 2023, during which time the current Message Board will not be available for posting. If all goes well, it should be available again starting on May 30, 2023.

Returning users will need to request a password reset to connect with their migrated account.

We will keep everyone up-to-date with progress and any changes in timing. If you have any questions, please let us know, at: pittmanb@nih.gov.
