AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello Sara:

It would help if I knew a little more about your experimental design. Is it
correct that there are 7 different conditions? Is each condition presented
multiple times during a run?

Exactly what statistical test are you trying to perform? What is the
hypothesis that you are testing?

It is not at all inconsistent to have very statistically significant results
within a given subject (e.g., p-value = .0001), and yet have insignificant
results across subjects (e.g, p-value > .1). This point has caused much
confusion in the past (and present).

The AUC calculation applies only if you are estimating the IRF curve at
multiple points (i.e., multiple time lags). What is the TR for your
experiment? What is the timing for the different conditions?
