Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

The next time we can get a large auditorium that allows us to include non-NIH people en masse is early in 2013. We don't have a date set for that yet, though.

3dfim+ is a very very old program (one of the first Doug Ward wrote when he started working for me). I really don't want people to use it any more -- 3dDeconvolve (also originally by Doug) has more capabilities and is still being maintained. 3dfim+ is no longer being updated, and I shudder to hear its name.

"Abort trap" is a Unix error message, indicating that the system killed the program for some reason. But figuring out why is pretty hard.

For the most part, AFNI is setup for 3D computations. To do things slice wise, it might be simplest to cut the dataset into 1 slice thick pieces, operate on those, then glue them back together. The cutting can be done with program 3dZcutup and the glueing with program 3dZcat. The masking with 3dAutomask (if the slices are not too dim, it should work) plus 3dcalc, and the calculation of the aver

Updates:
- 3dSeg is available now, but is still somewhat experimental
- afni_proc.py has been updated somewhat for resting state analyses, but Rick is still working both that script AND on uber_subject.py, to provide a GUI for resting state pre-processing
Please look us up when we are at the meeting! Here's a picture of me (with my wife and my sister) to help you in your quest.

I meant the actual 3dDeconvolve command, not the command from some custom script that I have no access to. I want to know how the program 3dDeconvolve was executed, since that seems to be the one that is giving the messages.
