Marking the Commissures


The sagittal cartoon below shows where the AFNI "markers" for the anterior and posterior commisures are to be placed. In practice, viewing slices in all three planes is necessary to properly place the markers. Not shown are the 2 markers to be placed in the longitudinal fissure. These would be placed above the corpus callosum. The other anatomical features are shown as guides to finding the commissures. In particular, the PC is always at the top of the cerebral aqueduct.
