AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Sarah,

Yes you can use 3dttest++ for the analysis with age as a covariate. The program will automatically outputs each group's age effect, the group difference in age effect, each group's average connectivity, and the group difference in connectivity. One caveat is that, if you're interested in each group's average connectivity and the group difference in connectivity, you need to properly center the age values. If the groups have roughly the same average age, then it's pretty straightforward; however, if the average age significantly differs between the groups, you have to be careful about the centering for the age values. Regarding this plus interpreting the output sub-bricks, read the help information in

3dttest++ -help | less
