AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

thanks,
George

Spherical phantom with some vitamin E capsules.
All geometry specified wrt the subject:
- Two capsules Anterior
- One capsule Left
- The "neck" of the phantom is pointing left and towards the feet (inferior)

Series 2 - sagittal
Series 3 - coronal
Series 4 - axial
Series 5 - oblique axial - axial>cor (-15deg)
Series 6 - oblique coronal - cor>axial (+19deg)

converted to briks using latest version of to3d (version 2.51h):
to3d -sess briks -prefix ser2 siemens/orientation+1_+20021211+124027+00002+00001+000*
to3d -sess briks -prefix ser3 siemens/orientation+1_+20021211+124027+00003+00001+000*
to3d -sess briks -prefix ser4 siemens/orientation+1_+20021211+124027+00004+00001+000*
to3d -sess briks -prefix ser5 siemens/orientation+1_+20021211+124027+00005+00001+000*
to3d -sess briks -prefix ser6 siemens/orientation+1_+20021211+124027+00006+00001+000*

There are two sets of errors:
1. Window tags not implemented, leading to brightness and contrast changing for every slice.
2. Orientation is not preserved during conversion. The axial one is correct,
but for example the sagittal scan has right and left flipped.
