AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

hi--

i have EPIs and some anatomicals--

after having collected EPIs the subject moved quite a bit, so i have EPIs that are >10mm out of registration in Z-axis from my anats.

3dvolreg will not tolerate this kind of shift. I tried using 3dTaglign, with an EPI as the -master.

I then used the 3dWarp with the mfile to register my other anats to the master EPI, and 3dvolreg to bring all my other EPIs into registration with the master EPI--so i have anats and EPIs in the same space as my master EPI.

Problem is that 3dWarp interpolates my anats, which i don't want. Were it not for the subject having moved so much, I usually would have shifted my EPIs to match my anats, but for a number of reasons (not here described) i can't.

Question is: how can i give 3dvolreg (or some other program) a best guest to shift the EPIs that >10mm intially, and then start the passes through the series?

the -coarse option seems like it could be useful, but i am not sure.

suggestions?
