AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear AFNI rockstars,
I'd like to see if and how brain activation patterns for naming object pictures change with certain parameters of the pictures. For instance, I've got a measure of visual complexity for all the pictures, and I'd like to see if activation in certain areas of the subjects' brains increases when they name object pictures of increasing visual complexity.
For a PET study of spontaneous narrative production, I successfully submitted values for various psycholinguistic measures as regressors, along with the PET images of subjects' brains, in a linear regression analysis in MEDx. The results were lovely maps showing areas of the brain correlated with each of the scores. Could the same be done in AFNI? And if so, would it require an ROI analysis?
Thank you!
Yours,
Whitney
