AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi AFNI experts,

I just downloaded AFNI 64 bit for Mac OS and installed it on a new machine [compile date 11 Dec 2008]. However running the align_epi_anat.py gives me the following error with 3dAllineate:

========== Applying transformation to 168 sub-bricks ==========
++ ========== sub-brick #0 ==========
++ using -1Dmatrix_apply
++ Computing output image
*+ WARNING: sr907_bcrun_01_tlrc_bigal_raw+tlrc[0] scale to shorts misfit = 3.45% -- * Caution
++ Consider writing datasets out in float format.

(and shows this for every functional volume.)

Running the same command on exactly the same machine that runs the 'standard' (32 bit) version does not show this error [Compile date 5 November 2008]. Any ideas? Does it have to do with the 64 bit version? Should I floatize the data with to3d?

thank you,

Nick
