AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear All,

I have a question regarding a correlation analysis related to a rest/task study.

We have a rest/task paradigm and obtained some activation blobs and would like to use these activation blobs as seed regions for a correlation analysis.

Specifically, we would like to find all brain voxels that have a significantly different correlation with the seed region between rest and task condition. Can please somebody help me to set this up in AFNI?

I know that I can create a mask of activation blobs using the 3dmerge command

3dmerge -dxyz=1 -1clust_order 1.0 5 -1clip 4.0 -prefix ROIname stats.name'[2]'

which will create a mask of activation blobs with t-value > 4.0 of at least 5 voxels. To extract the time series for this mask I can use then

3dmaskave -mask ROIname -d dynamic_sequene_brick > out_dyn.1D

So I can get the time sequence for the activation blobs. But how to proceed from here?

Many thanks!

Otto
