AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Is there a way to test whether 2 contrasts are different in 3dANOVA3? Basically - in my case, I would like to test whether the linear component of the interaction is significant which is the difference in the linear trends in 2 conditions. So the design is 2 x 4 x 24:

A: Cond1, Cond2
B: L1,L2,L3,L4
C: 24 Subjects

Using contrasts, I test the linear trend across the 4 levels of L for the 2 conditions in A:
-Abcontr 1: -3 1 1 3 Cond1_Linear
-Abcontr 2: -3 1 1 3 Cond2_Linear

Now: I would like to test whether these 2 trends are different from each other which boils down to testing the linear trend component of the interaction (AxB). But - it wasn't clear to me how I can specify this in 3dANOVA3. thanks, mb
