AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi -

1. I ran 3dDeconvolve (using Block) with 3 conditions: A,B,C and got 3 beta coefficients for each of 24 subjects that I then tested using 3dAnova2.
2. Then, I ran 3dDeconvolve (using Block) on the same data with 2 conditions: B, and A/C together. Then I tested these 2 beta coefficients with 3dAnova2.

My confusion is this: The maps for the condition that I did NOT change (B) are different in the 2 analyses. I can understand that error terms etc. change in the ANOVA, and perhaps things are also different in 3dDeconvolve, but I just wondered if you could enlighten me any further? thanks, mb
