AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello experts,

I wonder if AFNI provides an option to change the intensity values of a dataset in a way that would resemble changing the gamma correction value in the display. I've noticed that, by changing the gamma value, I can obtain images that are more uniform and in which parts, that were originally dark, have intensities very similar to the rest of the brain. I think that I could get better registration results using differently gamma corrected datasets.

Is there an AFNI program that does that or would I have to do it on the raw data outside AFNI? Could there be a way to save the changes applied in the display as a new dataset?

Greetings from Tuebingen,
Filip.
