AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if there is a possibility to estimate how well the model created by 3ddeconvolve fits the bold response, overall for a participant. I know how to do this manually, by plotting the fitted model against the bold for each individual voxel, but I would like to have a number that summarizes the fit for the whole brain. If I am not wrong, the "full_Fstat" that 3ddeconvolve creates measures the goodness of fit, but again, this is computed for every voxel. I wonder if I could average these F-values across the whole brain. Would that make statistical sense? Would it not be better to average the R squares?
Thank you!
Guillaume
