AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello all.

I have 2 questions.

~1~
I ran 3dLME and used the -resid option (-resid resid+tlrc) to be able to estimate the cluster size for thresholding.
First, I was gonna estimate the noise smoothness with 3dFWHMx -ACF NULL -automask -input resid+tlrc and then estimate the cluster size for thresholding via 3dClustSim -acf 0.591509 4.9806 13.8274 -mask mask+tlrc.

But the output of -resid confuses me.
There are as many subbriks as input files in 3dLME and I don't know which one to use in 3dFWHMx -ACF NULL -automask -input resid+tlrc[WHICH SUBBRIK?]

~2~
Below is the output I have from 3dFWHMx and I'm using these 3 numbers as input to. 3dClustSim -acf 0.592517 4.97794 13.8289
Are these the 3 numbers I should use?

++ 3dFWHMx: AFNI version=AFNI_18.1.14 (May 15 2018) [64-bit]
++ Authored by: The Bob
++ Number of voxels in automask = 70099
++ start ACF calculations out to radius = 24.94 mm
+ ACF done (55.05 CPU s thus far)
# old-style FWHM parameters
0 0 0 0
# ACF model parameters for a*exp(-r*r/(2*b*b))+(1-a)*exp(-r/c) plus effective FWHM
0.592517 4.97794 13.8289 13.1731

thank you
