AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear AFNI experts,
I have a brief question regarding the clustering correction in group analysis:
I used 3dttest++ to identified the statistical significant clusters in a group analysis for a certain condition. When setting a p-threshold for individual voxels at 0.001 and clustrerizing (in the AFNI GUI), the report is listing 12 significant clusters with alpha<0.01.
My question is: to be in good standing of scientific peer-review, am I suppose to apply an additional correction to the indicated clusters? For instance, if I should consider a Bonferroni correction, than should I list only the clusters for which new_alpha = alpha*number_of_significant_clusters and new_alpha<0.05? Or perhaps no extra correction is necessary?
Thank you so much!
Best wishes,
Roxana
