Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

Hi, I have a question about the option -tdiff in 3dTstat. According the instruction message,
-tdiff: Means to take the first difference of each time
series before further processing.
It is not clear what kind of further processing? I checked the relevant source code, it looks like this:
/* RWC: first difference here [25 May 2011] */
if( do_tdiff ){

Dear AFNI experts,
Is there any AFNI program which can be used to compute voxel-wise skewness and kurtosis for a 4D dataset? Such information must be available in the 3dttest++. For example, in one sample t-test, one needs the skewness and kurtosis information to evaluate t-test results.
Thanks, Tie

I computed it using the following afni program:
3dTcorrMap -mask mask_brain4mm.nii -input $sub \
-polort 3 -Mseed -1 \
-Zmean z_$sub -Qmean rms_$sub -Pmean P_$sub \ -Thresh 0.3 Th0p3_$sub -Cexpr 'step(r-0.3)*r' ccGT0p3_$sub
The inter-subject average is based on ccGT0p3_$sub. As you can
see, the ccGT0p3_$sub the correlation of a voxel w

Hi,
I need to estimate the voxel-wise significance level of the thresholded and averaged correlation matrix from resting-state fMRI. The correlation matrix was first threshold at 0.3 at individual subject. level. After threshold, the results from individual subject were averaged. The group average result at a given voxel could be lowered than threshold at individual level, because different su

Hello,
Is there an easy way to display 'lh' and 'rh' hemisphere simultaneously (on two different viewer) in SUMA? How to get rid of the color contour lines on the surface (on mac)?
Thank you for your assistance.
