Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

It would be nice if the coordinates went to three decimal places but if there is no current option then its fine. I was just wondering if it was possible to get more precision from the output.

Good morning
I am using 3dclust to find the coordinates for the center of mass of several clusters. The coordinates in the 1D output from the command only have a precision of one decimal place. Is there a way to increase the number of decimal places for this output? Thank you for your help.

I figured out the --line-buffered option but I didn't think of having to do the GETENV command twice. I got it to work with the tcsh code below.
afni -yesplugouts | grep --line-buffered 'RAI xyz' > temp.txt &
plugout_drive -comm 'GET_DICOM_XYZ'\
-comm 'GETENV bogus'\
-quit
The big thing is that the temp.txt needs to be deleted each time. For s

Thanks, that helped a lot. I was able to get both sections of your code to work but using the GETENV command does not cause the stream to flush. I have also tried the SETENV command to see if that changes anything but the stream only seems to flush when I quit AFNI. I am currenlty using the code below in tcsh on OSX.
afni -yesplugouts | grep 'RAI xyz' > test.txt &
plugout_d

Thank you for responding.
I now understand that the output from plugout_drive is sent to afni instead of the stdout but I am not really sure what your code is trying to do. When I run it, I get this output:

Hello
I am trying to use the value outputted by the plugout_drive command GET_DICOM_XYZ. I am running all of the commands in Terminal using tcsh. When I run the command:
plugout_drive -quit -comm 'QUIET_PLUGOUTS' -comm 'GET_DICOM_XYZ'
I get out a response on my Terminal, such as RAI xyz: 0.198189 -44.508759 27.268639. Unfortunately, I have not been able to pipe t
