Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

Yes, the results are different.
The part about the dorsomedial and ventrolateral prefrontal cortex is just to show the cluster size.
Although it lists three covariates, only one is being called in the 3dttest.

Hi Gang,
Sorry for the delay in response again, I'm still getting used to using this message board!
The variable is well-centred except with a few participants tending on the higher end on the trait scale, but the overall mean match the expected values of the current population. Normality tests also confirm that it is also normally distributed.
Below is the script I'm using.

Hi Gang,
I didn’t set any option for center, so it went with the default. I’m not too sure if I needed to do it. We are comparing two sets of responses by participants (so the same participants) in the ttest and then adding in the participants trait scale scores as the covariate.
When compared to without the covariate, the areas that come up are very different, basically two different set

Hi all,
In our analysis, we ran the 3dconvolve on our dataset and when we were looking at our contrast of interest in 3dttest+, we included a covariate of trait measure scores. As we decrease the p value, the cluster of interest remain, however, they do decrease in voxel size. My question is that when a covariate is used, is there any statistical reasoning that would allow us to reasonably use
