Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

Dear Colleagues,
Hi. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but after reading the relevant sections of the afni_proc.py help information and several tests, any help would be appreciated. After copying
anat.nii
/misc/prog/afni/current.x86_64/TT_N27+tlrc*
and the other necessary files to the working directory, this works.

Dear Colleagues,
Hi. I hope you are all coping with everything well.
I have a question about this text from the 3dDeconvolve help file: "It is VERY important to realize that statistics (F, t, R^2) computed in 3dDeconvolve are MARGINAL (or partial) statistics. For example, the t-statistic for a single beta coefficient measures the significance of that beta value against the regression

Dear Colleagues,
I neglected to mention a couple of things.
1) I was using AFNI version=AFNI_18.0.25 (Mar 7 2018) [64-bit].
2) I really like this feature of align_epi_anat.py. It is fitting like a glove with my needs and is a very convenient way to minimize data interpolation.
Sincerely,
Dante

Dear Colleagues,
Catie Chang and I would like to use 3dREMLfit to regress out cardiac and respiratory phase by slice with the -slibase option. Catie is generating the .1D input matrix that is necessary for this option with a custom Matlab routine.
Because we are not using 3dDeconvolve to generate the input matrix, which would also contain the censoring, can a -censor option be used directl

Rick,
While we were troubleshooting this problem, we updated AFNI, and the problem apparently resolved itself. Thanks for your time and patience.

Dear Colleagues,
With the help of many, I am performing all-night fMRI sleep studies. As a result, the study necessitates being able to convert, manipulate, and analyze data from very long scans. When running Dimon, it has occasionally crashed and died when converting dicom images to AFNI files. See below for the error message associated with a death that occurred with a run with 6003 sub-b
