Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

yes this would be a great feature. it seems like it hasn't been implemented yet in the driver?

ok thanks dan that did seem to work. i had to physically rearrange my monitors in the opposite way but i'm able to see different things on both now and also see afni. so weird that R vs L matters in this context. thanks a million

having this problem too. tried installing wmctrl like the blog said but i'm having further problems with that... it downloads but then my error is "checking whether the C compiler works... no" which apparently is still a problem for many online. this is SO annoying. have any of you found another solution? i'm running el capitan ver 10.11.6. thanks

also note that Rick incorporated this stuff into afni_proc.py and it works quite well

Hi all-
Just curious here. 3dFWHMx is normally performed on errts files since it's the smoothness of the noise that matters. This makes perfect sense for fMRI tasks. However for resting state analyses the errts is "the good stuff" and not considered noise, per se. Should this matter for 3dFWHMx smoothness estimation? After normal resting state analyses the errts that result from

hi Gang or others-
We want to make a "connectivity conjunction map" in the sense that we have resting state correlation maps with two different regions and we want to see:
(1) what is uniquely connected with either region
(2) what is mutually connected with both regions
#1 was a simple paired TTEST between the maps, corrected for multiple comparisons like usual (i suppose we c

Hi all, especially Ziad-
I'm doing ANATICOR resting state preprocessing, inputting the raw physio data into retrots.m. later on we edit crap moments out of the pulseox timeseries to get various stats on just the physio.
however, would it be better to do our cleaning first and then input *that* into retrots (replacing w/ zeros or interpolating to not screw up timing)? i was under the im

oh great about fat_roi_row.py
how does one attach a labeltable to a 3d file? i don't think it's in there. if i 3dinfo the mask 3d file i get:
$ 3dinfo mask_aseg_nl_1.4+tlrc.HEAD
++ 3dinfo: AFNI version=AFNI_2011_12_21_1014 (Oct 17 2014) [64-bit]
Dataset File: mask_aseg_nl_1.4+tlrc

Hi again Paul-
cool. ok i'll 3dcalc image mask files otherwise partial correlations break with ROIs outside my FOV
do you know off the top of your head the program for selecting just a single row out of a file? sounds like it could just be a general unix thing. no worries if it doesn't pop to mind, i can figure that out
more importantly, though, what's the syntax for addin

Hi Paul-
this is really very helpful, thanks! okay i transformed all the maps into the same space and just ran a simpler version to see what would happen with only the freesurfer file (Destrieux 2009 parcellations). the results are terrific and i was able to imagesc the .netcc file in matlab after minimal manual editing. a few more questions:
is there a way to tell 3dNetCorr to ignore some

Hello gurus (especially Ziad and Paul T):
I have FreeSurfer parcellations and segmentations and a hand-drawn mask (at different resolutions) that I wish to bring into 3dNetCorr, but I only want to use some of the parcellations and segmentations because my 7T EPI has a smallish FOV. Two questions:
I assume I need to get these two files into the same resolution before further processing, rig

great day AFNI gurus-
regarding 3dSeg output, what's the difference between the Posterior+orig and Unmodulated.p+orig? if i run both through 3dCalc with -expr 'ispositive(a-0.9)' i get differently thresholded masks.
also, how is Unmodulated.c calculated? is it a thresholding of the Posterior or Unmodulated.p masks?
finally, at least with 7T MPRAGEs, these masks look great
