Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

Hi all,
I am trying to use 3dQwarp to do tlrc transformation.
My computer is a MacBookPro (2010), 4G RAM, snow leopard.
It has taken several hours on my MBP to do this step.
I am interested to know how long it takes usually to do this on your computers.
Thanks very much!

Hi AFNI users,
I always use afni_proc.py to run fMRI analysis.
I am interested to know how to use the output of 3dOverlap.
This function was used in the afni_proc.py to compute the overlap between the full_mask (EPI mask) and the anatomical mask.
(1) Is there some useful rule to judge whether the alignment between the EPI and anatomical mask is good or not?
(2) Can we use this informatio

Dear Afni users,
My afni can not read nii.gz data file suddenly.
I guess it may because I installed some software (MRIconvert and dcm2nii).
The installation process may revised some default setting of my Macbook Pro.
However, I am totally no idea about how to fix this.
Please give me some suggestions!
Thanks very much!
Best,

Hi,
I have a confusion about the "-regress_censor_motion" in afni_proc.py.
In the help page, the default setting is:
-regress_censor_motion 0.3 \
Does it mean that this line "sets a threshold for motion of roughly 3mm or 3 degrees of rotation (based on euclidean norm)"?
What is the unit of the threshold?
Centimeter or micrometer ?
Thanks a lot!

Hi,
I got my anatomical T1 image aligned to my EPI image and then transformed into tlrc space using afni_proc.py. Then I used the tlrc transformed anatomical image to create mask for group analysis.
The group mask was created by averaging all anatomical masks.
I planed to check the quality of tlrc transformation for the group of my subjects (n = 28, and attended 2 sessions separated by a week,

Hi,
I am confused about the update of the afni.
the "latest afni version" on the first webpage says AFNI_2011_12_21_1014.
The afni -ver on my macbookpro say also AFNI_2011_12_21_1014.
Do I have the most recent afni?
If I want to update the new function you mentioned, what should I do?
I am a new user of afni. I am sorry if this question sounds stupid.
