AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear all,

I want to use 3dGroupInCorr for connectivity analysis but I want to supply my own timeseries as seed. The first question is how. I looked up the batch option in 3dGroupInCorr program help and found a METHOD called VECTORS which allows one to specify a timeseries in a .1D file but there is a warning there that reads:
** N.B.: This method has not yet been tested!

Is there any update on testing of this method? I can volunteer to do the testing if there is a standard protocol for the same.

The reason I want to supply my own timeseries is as follows, please correct me if I am doing something unnecessary.
I am using SMP's SUIT toolbox to extract and align the cerebella of my subjects . After aligning the stats files to the SUIT template, I find a region-of-interest (ROI) that I want to use as the seed-region in whole-brain connectivity analysis. So, I create an ROI-mask, back transform it to each subject's space, extract the timeseries within the ROI using 3dmaskave, and use this timeseries as seed for whole-brain connectivity analysis in MNI space.

Thanks and regards,
Gaurav
