It is a lot of files from ROIgrow but they can be combined to give you what you want. But before we proceed on this, does looking at any of these files look like the ROI you want from one of these locations? You mention that the regions are not quite circular, but I don't expect them to be. Nodes are considered within Xmm from each other if the shortest path between them along the mesh (walking along connected edges) is less than Xmm. You can display the surfaces in mesh mode (press 'p' once) to help understand what is going on.
