I just tried re-running 3dSynthesize with the no_censored design matrix with the following command:
3dSynthesize -prefix ${subject}_effectsNointerest -matrix X.nocensor.xmat.1D -cbucket c_stats_${subject}.Gam+tlrc -select 0..19 28..33
I then re-ran the other steps to extract the time series from a ROI and I do not see those large spikes anymore. In fact, the largest spike is a single value of 1.09472.
Should I therefore be using the X.nocensor.xmat.1D file instead?
