AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi,

I was wondering whether in 3dMVM I can collapse across the levels of one of the conditions in order to contrast it to a different condition that has only one level.

I have the following design: a neutral feedback condition and a non-neutral feedback condition that has 2 levels, i.e. positive and negative feedback.

3dMVM -prefix neutral_non-neutral\
-model "group*condition" \
-wsVars 'condition' \
-dataTable \
Subj group condition InputFile \
hc1 hc random $path/hc2_ct05/task_data/cardTask.glt+tlrc'[5]' \
hc1 hc random $path/hc2_ct05/task_data/cardTask.glt+tlrc'[3]' \
hc1 hc control $path/hc2_ct05/task_data/cardTask.glt+tlrc'[1]' \

Would MVM treat subjects with pos and neg (the 1st two lines) as separate people or average the signal and collapse across valence?

Thank you!
Katya
