AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

I went through all of the steps to run context dependent correlation analysis on one subject. I realize that a group analysis would be preferable but I am looking at pilot data with one subject to get an idea of how this analysis works. Everything appears to have run correctly. I created a dataset that contains all of the correlations between the seed region (Left Insula) and the rest of the epi data. When I look at the correlation map in the AFNI GUI it shows that many regions have a positive relationship (correlation) with the seed region (L Insula). And there are a few regions with an inverse relationship.

Here are my questions:

Is there a way to use the data that I have to get one "r" value for each of the regions that are correlated with the seed region? As the data stands now, I have a different "r" value for each voxel that I click on.

How do I set the threshold that I want? I have been sliding the bar that changes the p value but when I move it to a level that makes sense with the correlation map it is set to values like p = .00000002. Could this possibly be a real p value for the correlations that I am seeing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
