History of AFNI updates

Hi,
I got my anatomical T1 image aligned to my EPI image and then transformed into tlrc space using afni_proc.py. Then I used the tlrc transformed anatomical image to create mask for group analysis.
The group mask was created by averaging all anatomical masks.
I planed to check the quality of tlrc transformation for the group of my subjects (n = 28, and attended 2 sessions separated by a week, so a total of 56 datasets).
An intuitive method I used was opening the average group mask in afni as the underlay and open the TT_N27 template as the overlay to see the overlap.
As I did tlrc transformation by referring the TT_N27, I believed that the averaged group mask should be as same as the TT_N27.
I found my group mask is slightly larger than the TT_N27 template. But I am not sure whether it cause a problem.

Am I right in using this way to evaluate the quality of tlrc transformation?
I attached a picture of the composite of the mask and the TT_N27.
I would appreciate if someone can help me evaluate the quality of tlrc transformation.
