Also consider the various ROI colormaps, like ROI_i32. For others (not Paul), other color scales can be selected by right-clicking on the color bar. Set the range to 32 and the 'Pos' on, and I think you should get different colors for each. Setting the dataset to be shown with an integer colormap with "3drefit -cmap INT_CMAP dsetname" . That command should force one of the ROI color scales to be used the next time the dataset is loaded.
