AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi all,

I'm a relatively new AFNI user. I've gone through the "Suggested reading for beginners" first to thwart posting redundant inquiries but I have come across one that seems to elude me. I've fit some dynamic data using the 3dNLfim function and I'm trying to pull it up with current dataset. According to the paper on 3dNLfim by Ward, It talks about using a 'Switch Functions' and 'See Functions' on the main gui interface but mine doesn't seem to have it. I thought I downloaded and installed afni correctly and it's been working great but I'm curious to why I don't have these functions? I tried uploading a screen shot of it (was only 96 kb) but it would never upload; just kept reloading the message. The functions/buttons that it shows to the right of 'axial', etc. options are: DataDir, Switch, Read, Underlay, Overlay, EditEnv, NIML+PO, Control Surface (though is not able to be clicked). I understand that 'Switch' is to just switch session directories and not the same as Switch Functions option. Is there something I did wrong when loading or installing afni? Thanks for any and all assistance.

Cheers
