Thanks for the fast response. I ran the command and my afni version reverted:

Version AFNI_2011_12_21_1014
[[Precompiled binary linux_gcc33_64: Jan 11 2012]]

Should I try running @update.afni.binaries again and specifying a package rather than using the default flag? I'm running CentOS 6.5
