AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello,

I have a question about 3dROIstats.

I used 3dROIstats to get beta values within a ROI (162 voxels) for two groups, then I run an independent two sample t test and got a t-vaule of 2.0881 ( mean of Group A = 0.117, mean of Group B = 0.057, df =30 )

However, when I run a 3dttest++ for these two groups, I got a different t-values of 1.839 within this ROI (mean of Group A = 0.095, mean of Group B = 0.045, df =30 )

I double checked my script and checked the mean and t in each individual subjects within this ROI, it looks like that beta vaule from each subject using 3dROIstats is a little bit higher.

I am wondering why these results don't match.

Thank you.

Kai
