AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello all!

I am conducting an analysis where I am running ANOVAs and t-tests with control subjects and stroke subjects using 3dMEMA. Now, I have a couple of questions about how I can get the most reliable results. One main issue I am having is that I am getting beta coefficients within the lesions of the stroke participants at the individual level. I want to make sure these betas don't influence my results. I feel like I have two options:

1) Mask out the lesion, then use -missing_data and -max_zero options in 3dMEMA.
2) Do not mask out the lesion, but Include the -no_model_outliers in 3dMEMA.
-Could this option possibly get rid of the betas within lesions? (Assuming they are outliers.)

Does anyone have any input on what analysis is the most reliable? Any other suggestions for what I could do?

Thanks for your input,
Derek Archer
