Thanks again Rick!
I'm still a bit confused about BLOCK(5) and BLOCK(5,1).
First off, I thought the BLOCK(5) function that was generated by convolving a square wave of widht 5 s (a boxcarfunction, BLOCK, height 1) with and a gamma function? At the location of the ONSET in the stimfile. Or what did you mean with "BLOCK " in
"BLOCK(5) is generated by convolving the simple BLOCKfunction (of height 1) with a 5 second boxcar function."?
So, if the single subject results and group level results are unnaffected by (5) vs (5,1), in what scenario should you pay attention to this? In what aspect is it important? (Excpt that when a change of 5 % gives a beta of 5 makes more sence?) Is it to be able to compare simuli of different leangths? Or does that not matter either?
We use dmBLOCK where our stimfiles have onset:durtation. The duration might vary in one stimfile (due to e.g. responsetime). Should we use dmBLOCK(1) instead? Or what are the implications of just going with dmBLOCK?
Thanks!
